About the Role
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to improve existing digital products, design new web and mobile experiences, and contribute to Alpha Technologies' brand identity and educational content.
You will work on three existing products, including a K-12 education ecosystem for teachers and students in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, and an internal operations platform for a logistics business. You will also support new digital projects as they arise.
Working closely with our Technology Team and Curriculum Designers, you will translate business requirements into intuitive user experiences, maintain consistent design systems, and create engaging visual materials for digital learning.
This role is ideal for a designer who combines strong visual design skills, user-centered thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively throughout the product development process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product UI/UX Design
Review existing products, identify usability issues, and propose prioritized design improvements without disrupting established user workflows.
Translate business and user requirements into user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
Design responsive interfaces for web, tablet, and mobile applications, including dashboards, administrative systems, and complex business workflows.
Define essential interface states, including loading, empty, error, and permission-related states.
Conduct design reviews with stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and refine interfaces to improve usability and consistency.
2. Design Systems & Brand Identity
Build and maintain reusable design systems, including design tokens, typography, color palettes, spacing, and UI components.
Ensure consistency across products while accommodating different customer brands, user roles, and languages.
Refresh Alpha Technologies' logo and visual identity, and develop supporting brand guidelines.
Design corporate materials such as the company profile, product brochures, sales presentations, and website visuals.
3. E-learning & Educational Content Design
Collaborate with Curriculum Designers to develop visually engaging learning materials and digital educational experiences.
Translate lesson plans and learning objectives into clear, accessible, and engaging visual content suitable for e-learning.
Design educational presentations, worksheets, infographics, and other digital learning assets as needed.
4. Collaboration & Design Delivery
Clarify requirements with
Product Owners and
Business Analysts, identifying gaps in business logic before design begins.
Work closely with Tech Leads and
Developers to balance user experience, business requirements, and technical feasibility.
Manage design tasks, estimate timelines, and provide regular progress updates through OpenProject, Jira, or equivalent tools.
Hand over designs with clear specifications and interaction notes, and review implemented interfaces against approved designs before release.
Requirements
At least 2 years of UI/UX design experience with web or mobile products that have been launched.
Experience designing complex business applications, dashboards, administrative systems, or internal enterprise tools.
A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design, user-centered thinking, and practical product design experience.
Proficiency in Figma, including Auto Layout, components, variants, interactive prototyping, and design systems.
Strong understanding of layout, typography, color, visual hierarchy, responsive design, and usability principles.
Experience with brand identity and corporate design materials, including logos, company profiles, product brochures, or websites.
Ability to translate business requirements into practical design solutions and clearly explain design decisions.
Experience collaborating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers throughout the product development lifecycle.
Strong communication, time management, and ownership, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Nice to Have
Experience in EdTech, Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital classrooms, or K-12 education.
Familiarity with the needs of teachers, students, and school administrators.
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, React, Tailwind CSS, or Flutter.
Experience designing multi-tenant products with multiple user roles or customer-specific branding.
Familiarity with AI-powered tools for design exploration, prototyping, or content creation.
Experience designing products for international or Southeast Asian markets.
