Warehouse Coordinator

Reports To: Vietnam Production Manager & US Headquarters, San Francisco Office.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Working Manager who leads by example on the warehouse floor. This is not a desk job - you will actively work alongside your team every day, participating directly in receiving, material staging, inventory counts, forklift operation, and shipment preparation, while also supervising and developing warehouse staff.
The ideal candidate rolls up their sleeves, knows their way around a stand-up forklift, and brings 2-3 years of hands-on warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment. If you thrive on the floor and take pride in running a tight, efficient operation, we want to hear from you.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
No two days are exactly alike, but a typical day might include: verifying and physically unloading incoming deliveries, operating a stand-up forklift to stage raw materials and move finished goods, running cycle counts, briefing the team on daily production priorities, preparing a shipment for an evening pickup, and wrapping up with a safety walkthrough before securing the warehouse.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hands-On Warehouse Operations
• Personally perform and actively assist with receiving, unloading, and staging materials - especially during peak periods.
• Operate stand-up forklifts and other material handling equipment as a regular part of the daily role.
• Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders; record and file delivery notes accurately.
• Organize raw materials on correct pallets and racks according to production plan.
• Prepare materials for production following First-In, First-Out (FIFO) standards.
• Place finished goods in storage racks according to order and shipping schedules.
• Prepare shipments in advance to meet customer timelines.
• Collaborate with production and logistics teams to align warehouse operations with manufacturing schedules.
Inventory & Materials Management
• Maintain accurate inventory records using the company's inventory management system.
• Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished products to support production and customer demand.
• Conduct monthly inventory checks and daily cycle counts; identify and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing goods.
Team Leadership & Development
• Supervise warehouse staff including forklift operators, pickers, and loaders - working alongside them, not just above them.
• Provide hands-on training in material handling, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Allocate tasks, monitor team performance, and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship.
Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Conduct regular safety audits and enforce PPE usage across the team.
• Perform forklift maintenance checks and ensure safe, proper operation.
• Complete end-of-day security checks: lights off, windows closed, warehouse secured.
Process Optimization
• Identify and implement improvements in warehouse layout, material flow, and space utilization.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and 5S practices within the warehouse.
• Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and implement cost-saving improvements.
• Prepare weekly reports for management on warehouse performance, costs, and improvement plans.
• Maintain detailed records of warehouse activities for audit and compliance purposes.
