Job Purpose
- The Warehouse Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and conformity of incoming raw materials, spare parts, packaging materials, and warehouse goods. The position works closely with warehouse operations, factory Quality Engineers, suppliers, and other relevant departments to identify, control, and resolve quality issues.
- The role also supports Safety and Environmental Management within the warehouse to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Incoming Material & Goods Quality Control
- Inspect and assess the quality of incoming raw materials, spare parts, packaging materials, and other warehouse goods according to established specifications and quality standards.
- Verify product condition, quantity, specifications, labeling, and packaging upon receipt.
- Identify, segregate, and control non-conforming materials or goods to prevent unintended use or shipment.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to maintain product quality throughout the warehouse process.
- Monitor product quality during storage and identify potential deterioration, damage, contamination, or other quality risks.
2. Packaging Quality Management
- Inspect packaging materials and packaging conditions according to spare-parts standards and company requirements.
- Ensure goods are properly packed, labeled, protected, and prepared for storage or shipment.
- Monitor post-packaging quality and identify packaging-related defects or risks.
- Work with warehouse and production teams to improve packaging methods and prevent recurring quality issues.
3. Quality Issue Management
- Act as the focal point for quality-related matters between the warehouse and factory Quality Engineers.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, Logistics, Procurement, and suppliers to investigate quality issues.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for non-conforming materials and goods.
- Follow up on corrective actions and verify their effectiveness.
- Escalate critical or recurring quality issues to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
4. Quality Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare, consolidate, and maintain reports related to incoming material quality, warehouse goods quality, and post-packaging quality.
- Maintain inspection records, non-conformity reports, quality checklists, and other relevant documentation.
- Analyze quality data and identify trends, recurring defects, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide regular quality performance updates to management and relevant departments.
5. Warehouse Quality System
- Develop, maintain, and improve warehouse quality inspection procedures, work instructions, and checklists.
- Support internal and external audits related to warehouse quality.
- Ensure warehouse activities comply with applicable quality standards and company procedures.
- Promote quality awareness and good quality practices among warehouse employees.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects related to warehouse quality, packaging, material handling, and inventory control.
6. Safety & Environmental Management
- Support and monitor Safety and Environmental Management activities within the warehouse.
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with company safety and environmental requirements.
- Identify potential safety and environmental risks and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Support safety inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and improvement activities when required.
- Promote a safe, clean, and environmentally responsible working environment.
Yêu cầu
- Education: Bachelor's degree in technical fields such as Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics.
- Minimum of three years' experience in quality, engineering and/or manufacturing.
- Proficient in print reading and interpretation, part measurement, gage design and function.
- Preferred Qualifications: Technical experience in interior, exterior, body, chassis, electrical or powertrain quality, manufacturing, or engineering functions. Demonstrated experience and capability in any of the following areas:
- Lean Manufacturing and or Manufacturing Quality.
- Manufacturing, Process and or Tool Engineering.
- Quality Systems Planning (APQP), including PPAP.
- Master's degree in business or engineering is a plus
- Good English communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving / Team working / Analytical skills
