Nami Distributed Energy is a leading distributed-energy investment platform in Vietnam, powering the country's industrial decarbonisation through rooftop solar, battery storage, DPPAs and other distributed-energy solutions. With a strong track record of operating assets, a large development pipeline, and backing from SEACEF II (Clime Capital, alongside IFC, BII and FMO), we are scaling toward a gigawatt-scale portfolio. Finance and investment leadership will be central to Nami's next chapter.
Job purpose
As a member of the executive leadership team, reporting to the CEO and Board, the Chief Financial Officer leads the group's financial, treasury and investment activities. The CFO owns capital strategy and allocation, financial planning and control, risk and governance, and investor relations - ensuring the company delivers its board-approved strategy and three-year plan while building the financial foundation for Nami's next phase of growth, including its holding-company structure and future capital-markets readiness.
Key responsibilities
1. Financial strategy & planning
• Own the group's financial strategy, three-year plan, annual budgets and capital-allocation framework, aligning capital deployment with the board-approved strategy.
• Set working-capital strategy, capital-efficiency monitoring, and the performance measures and reporting that steer the business toward its targets.
2. Financial management, controlling & reporting
• Oversee accounting, cash flow, asset management, internal controls and transaction processing across the group and its project SPVs, safeguarding balance-sheet integrity.
• Deliver timely, accurate reporting to the CEO, Board, lenders and investors; drive cost discipline and a strong control environment; own key banking relationships.
3. Treasury, cash & funding
• Manage cash forecasting and liquidity for operating and investment needs; deploy surplus capital efficiently to optimise returns.
• Arrange and manage debt and equity financing at group and project level, including refinancing.
4. Risk, governance & compliance
• Build and maintain an enterprise risk-management framework covering operational, financial, legal and regulatory risk.
• Ensure full compliance with corporate-governance and regulatory requirements, in coordination with Legal, and uphold DFI / IFC performance-standard expectations.
5. Investment & M&A
• Lead investment evaluation end-to-end - sourcing, due diligence and return / risk assessment - and bring clear pre-investment recommendations to leadership and the Board.
• Lead deal structuring and negotiation; oversee post-merger financial integration and divestments.
6. Capital raising & investor relations
• Lead equity and debt raises from term negotiation through due diligence, documentation and close.
• Build and sustain relationships with institutional and development-finance investors and lenders; manage investor communications in line with legal and disclosure requirements.
7. Corporate structuring & capital-markets readiness
• Drive the group's holding-company structuring (including the Singapore holding entity) and the associated tax, governance and residency considerations.
• Prepare the finance function, reporting and controls for future capital-markets and IPO readiness.
8. Leadership & organisation
• Build, lead and develop a high-performing finance and investment team.
• Embed data-driven decision-making and AI-enabled financial analysis and forecasting, supported by finance systems and processes that scale with the group.
Requirements
Education
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Professional qualification required or strongly preferred (ACCA / FCCA, CFA, CPA or equivalent).
Related experience
• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, with proven experience as CFO / Group CFO or equivalent.
• Sector experience in renewable energy and/or infrastructure strongly preferred; private-equity or DFI-backed environments an advantage.
• Demonstrated track record in capital raising (equity and debt), deal structuring, due diligence, M&A and investor relations with institutional and development-finance investors.
• Strong exposure to financial controlling and reporting, business partnering, regulatory and compliance environments, and transformation, integration or growth initiatives.
• Experience supporting holding-company structuring and/or capital-markets / IPO readiness is a plus.

• Proficient in AI tools, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, ERP systems and financial modelling.
