WE ARE RECRUITING STUDENT VOLUNTEERS FOR THE
FALL 2014 StudyUSA HIGHER EDUCATION FAIRS
Volunteers are important contributors to the success of our fairs. Join us and benefit in the following ways:
You will have opportunities to:
★ Acquire valuable work experience, including marketing and outreach
★ Improve your English working as interpreters for the U.S. college and university representatives
★ Develop your communication, teamwork, time management and planning skills
★ Work within a flexible schedule and use your spare time effectively and efficiently
★ Build your social relationships with a prestigious company, foreign friends and peers
We are looking for volunteers to help out with our fall fairs in Haiphong, Hanoi, Danang, HCMC and Vung Tau from 28 September to 6 October 2014.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Students from grade 10 at high school to fourth year at university
- Good command of spoken English
- Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Good attitude and manners: dynamic, enthusiastic, friendly, helpful, etc.
- Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in interpreting and a good understanding of US higher education are preferred
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take part in Capstone Vietnam's marketing campaign for the fairs
- Introduce our fairs to students, parents and people interested in overseas study, especially in the US
- Study the materials provided by Capstone Vietnam about four-year institutions and community colleges and help students and parents learn about this system.
- You will be assigned one of the following roles: interpreter, supporter, receptionist
- Assist Capstone Vietnam with a variety of other important tasks
YOU WILL GET
- A stipend for working at the fairs and distributing brochures and flyers before the fairs (for those who want to distribute more than the required numbers of flyers and posters.)
- A certificate signed by Dr. Mark Ashwill, managing director of Capstone Vietnam
- A Capstone Vietnam T-shirt
- An opportunity to become a long-term volunteer or an intern of Capstone Vietnam
- A chance to learn about the US higher education system and study abroad opportunities
- A valuable experience that you can add to your resume
