Accounting Manager cum Chief Accountant

Oversees the day-to-day accounting and tax activities.
Manage statutory account including tax compliance and legal/license updates.
Prepare corporate tax and VAT filings and reports accurately and timely.
Review monthly employee salary reports and expatriate employees' income tax filling.
Prepare and implement the internal controls system to efficiently manage and safeguard company's assets.
Evaluate the accounting systems and provide recommendations for its improvement to adapt the changes of tax and accounting regulations.
Prepare monthly Management reports and quarterly budget variances analysis.
Assist quarterly Group consolidated accounts and liaison/communicate with the Treasury department of the parent company in Japan.
Prepare tax planning and participate in annual financial planning.
Addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, management reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities
Duties and responsibilities
Ensure the month-end accounts closing for both VAS and IFRS on a timely manner.
Overall responsible to full spectrum of accounting, tax activities and to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness and to comply with the respective Government authority's requirements.
Ensure quarterly group reporting package and periodic financial reports are accurately, complete and within dateline given.
Coordinates with parent company, associate company on the quarterly audit report requirements.
To lead the other departments to prepare the annual budget and handle the annual budgeting process.
Provide financial information and support the Management in financial planning and cash flow management.
Responsible for Cashbook management and Cash flow forecast.
System implementations and recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures when it is necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
