JOB PURPOSE
Ensure the financial safety and regulatory compliance of the enterprise by providing expert analysis and certification on pricing, reserving, solvency, and risk transfer, while maintaining independence from commercial operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Product & Pricing: Calculate premiums, validate product assumptions, and review economic feasibility.
• Reserving: Establish technical reserves in line with legal requirements.
• Solvency Monitoring: Conduct regular solvency assessments and certify reports to regulators.
• Financial Risk Oversight: Report abnormal financial risks to management and regulators when necessary.
• Reinsurance Review: Evaluate reinsurance programs and confirm significant risk transfer.
• Risk Management Support: Collaborate on risk models, stress testing, and risk reporting.
• Specific Duties: Assess claims, separate capital sources, and provide financial forecasts.
• Regulatory Reporting: Submit annual actuarial reports to the Ministry of Finance using prescribed templates.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Certificate / Education
• Bachelor's degree or above in Actuarial Science, Insurance, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
• ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) is a must.
2. Experience
• Up to 5 years of relevant actuarial experience in a life or non-life insurance company, with exposure to multiple aspects of actuarial work including pricing, reserving, solvency, or reinsurance.
• Prior experience with regulatory reporting to the Ministry of Finance or equivalent authority is preferred.
• Customer focus and good sense of urgency
• Characteristic: proactive & hardworking, detailed oriented & result driven
3. Skills / Knowledge
• Strong knowledge of life insurance product structures, valuation methods, and regulatory frameworks.
• Solid understanding of technical reserves, solvency assessment, and risk-based capital requirements.
• Familiarity with reinsurance structures and significant risk transfer evaluation.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning.
• Good command of English (written and spoken) for regulatory reporting and cross-functional collaboration.
• Understanding of Vietnamese insurance regulations and Ministry of Finance reporting requirements.
