General Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Android Developer to join our team. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing and building advanced applications for the Android platform, with a particular focus on Android Automotive. You will work on cutting-edge projects related to in-vehicle infotainment, vehicle control, and connectivity, including Android Auto and CarPlay integration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative and user-friendly Android applications for automotive platforms such as Android Automotive.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend developers, to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality Android applications.
• Ensure the performance, efficiency, and scalability of Android applications through rigorous testing, optimization, and code reviews.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the Android ecosystem and apply them to enhance our applications.
• Work on integrating in-vehicle infotainment systems and vehicle control features, leveraging Android platform capabilities.
• Implement connectivity solutions for Android Auto and CarPlay, enabling seamless integration between mobile devices and vehicles.

Must have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years experienced in Android application development using either Java/Kotlin.
• Proficient and good knowledge in OOP, Design Patterns.
• Familiar with new technology such as Android Jetpack, Android Architecture Component.
• Experience in working with Git/Jira/Gerrit/Jenkins/OpenGrok in a team environment.
• Independent working and good team communication.
• Logical thinking and good English skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in pre-built apps, AOSP, especially Android Automotive(Car service, Car APIs,etc).
• Experience in multi-process handling and inter-application communication((AIDL, IPC, Binder, Content Provider,etc).
• Experience in developing service for one of the domains (e.g. AndroidAuto/CarPlay, Settings, Notification Center, Media, SystemUI, Home Launcher, Bluetooth, Camera, HardKey)
