Responsibilites

 Business Development:
 Responsible for managing client projects such a refit and new installation projects
 Identify customer needs and share feedback with the company to improve product performance and quality.
 Develop and maintain positive customer relations
 Work closely with customers and sales to assemble solutions to support sales efforts
 While traveling to customers for specific business, application engineers are expected to identify and visit existing or potential new customers and perform prospecting activities.
 Use of the company designated CRM system to record customer interactions, and complete tasks
 Communicate with sales any change in scope, requested by a customer, when working with assigned customers.
 Assist where needed in the sales process to drive closure of projects.
 Application engineers must learn how to properly perform budgetary quoting. Application engineers are responsible for creating budgetary quotes in a timely and accurate manner.
 Systems:
 Documentation requirements - Application Engineers must follow a process that defines the information that must be collected when performing application engineering assignments. They must have both oral and written skills sufficient to create site surveys and communicate clearly with our customers.
 Understanding of application process includes knowing how your work efforts affects the receiving departments within company. Working well with others is a requirement.
 Ability to drive site meeting with all parties involved, (customer, electrician, contactors). Project management skill are a must.
 Ability to lead meetings with company Engineering and present project so design engineers can clearly understand the customer solution.
 Time management site visit - ability to complete within agreed time limits.
 Communication with the customers internal and external - FOLLOW UP, Expectations, Scope.
 Drive scope closure with the systems engineering team once projects are sold.
 Meet a month goal of completed closed applications of Change add projects.
 Service:
 Coordinate with traveling services team to manage the Startup of company systems.
 Coordinate with in-house services team to manage service cases on company systems.
 Travel:
 The Application Engineer is required to travel on a regular basis. The baseline for travel is 50% for this position. There may be times where that number is increased due to the business demand.

Qualifications

 Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Computer Science, Automation or Feed Manufacturing.
 Feed Industry Experience, Manufacturing Process Experience, Manufacturing experience emphasis on Feed/Food industry.
 Written and spoken fluency in English and Chinese
 Knowledge of PLC software and its application in the industry
 Ability to create and maintain good customer relationships
 Attention to detail
