Application Penetration Tester Security/Networking

The Penetration Tester is a crucial member of the regional cybersecurity team responsible for conducting comprehensive security assessments on web applications, mobile applications, and network infrastructure. In this role, you will simulate the actions of a malicious attacker, seeking out vulnerabilities in the target systems before they can be exploited. As a Penetration Tester, you will play a vital role in protecting the organization's assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments of computer systems, networks, and web applications to identify vulnerabilities and potential risks
• Plan and execute penetration tests, including network and application-layer testing, using a variety of tools and techniques
• Document findings, including descriptions of vulnerabilities and recommendations for remediation
• Work with development teams to prioritize and track resolution of security vulnerabilities
• Stay up to date with the latest security trends, technologies, and methodologies

Key Skills

• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Ability to work effectively either independently or as part of a team
• Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, and web technologies
• Experience with security testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus, and OWASP ZAP
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, and ISO 27001
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• CREST CPSA, CRT, OSCP, OSWP, GPEN, GXPN a major plus
