Applications Developer III JavaScript, ASP.NET / MVC

POSITION SUMMARY

As part of a service-oriented- IT organization, the Application Developer's role includes designing, building, and implementing new enterprise applications, integrating with back-end systems; upgrading legacy applications to modern technologies; and performing day-to-day administration of the organization's application portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Develop high quality software for new projects and enhancements to current applications.
• Perform UI, unit, and system level testing of CST applications. Collaborate with users for testing.
• Identify and recommend new features to existing applications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing applications.
• Ensure security of CST applications.
• Serve as a technical resource for other programmers.
• Maintain a high and increasing level of proficiency in software and other technologies supported by the IT Dept.
• Collaborate on projects to design, develop, and implement applications.

Formal Education & Certification

• Fluency in English is a must.
• Bachelor's Degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering.
• At least six years of experience developing enterprise applications.

Essential Skills

• Microsoft ASP.NET / MVC and Microsoft ASP.NET Core / MVC
• Microsoft C#
• Microsoft Visual Studio
• Microsoft DevOps and Git
• Microsoft SQL
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap
• Experience with Azure WebApps, Logic Apps, B2C, Functions
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.
• Experience working with Windows O/S (Desktops and Servers)

Preferable Knowledge & Experience

• Experience with Java or VUE JS
• Microsoft WFP and WCF
• Working knowledge of a web CMS preferably WordPress web content management and SharePoint
• Web service experience - REST / SOA / SOAP
• Experience in manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements.
• Experience with Docker, Containers, and Microservices
