Art/ Music Teacher -Ib Programe

Main Responsibilities:
● Commands a mastery of the learning expectations inherent to the appropriate grade level and subject area.
● Work independently and collaboratively to design and refine curriculum (MOET, International Standards, and MYP).
● Monitor ongoing progress, provide timely feedback, and assess students using Managebac and Google Classroom.
● Create a safe and purposeful learning environment where students understand they are contributing members of a larger community.
● Develop students' cognitive, creative, critical thinking, and reflection skills and empower them to become independent learners.
● Develop units of study based on the school-adopted MOET and international content standards, as well as the MYP Curricular Framework.
● Design meaningful and relevant assessments that allow every student to demonstrate understanding.
● Facilitate engaging, student-centered learning activities to build the skills and concepts necessary to succeed on the unit and external assessments.
● Adapt instruction to meet specific student needs and implement intervention and enrichment opportunities as needed.
● Scaffold language development for all students.
● Consistently communicate with parents about student academic and behavioral progress per school policy.
● Communicate, collaborate, and liaise with other school colleagues to promote social and emotional awareness within MYP Standards and Practices.
● Maintain classroom expectations by following the school's student disciplinary policies and procedures outlined in the student and parent handbooks.
● Attend professional development workshops as directed by supervisors and remain current with the MYP curriculum and standards.
● Assist in developing the school's syllabus and learning materials as required.
● Complete student reports in Managebac that are in line with school policy.
● Attend parent communication events as required and inform parents about their child's performance and future targets.
● Participate in extra-curricular activities (ASA), field trips, and school events throughout the school year.
● Participate in and assist with school events as required.
● Engage in other appropriate tasks assigned by the PYP/ MYP Coordinator or Head of School.
