Mô tả công việc
Cognita Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment. Safer recruitment practice and pre-employment background checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. Appointment is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for regulated activity (if the candidate has lived in the UK) and/or criminal/police or equivalent background checks for all other countries inhabited (irrespective of whether you worked in those countries)
Position Objective
ASA / CAS Coordinator's role is essentially to:
Oversee, enhance and coordinate the After School Activities Program to ensure our program offers the best opportunities for our students.
Overseeing the delivery of community events in conjunction with the ISSP community and within the PYP IB Framework that are designed to equip students with the skills needed to become active change agents in their community.
Responsibilities
The job holder's responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School's Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head of School or indeed to the Regional CEO or Safeguarding Manager - Asia so that a referral can be made accordingly to the statutory services.
Relationships:
Developing trusting and effective relationships with the all the children at ISSP and their parents
Establishing supportive and positive working relationships with all other members of staff
Becoming a presence across the whole school and a representative of it within its wider community
Professional Role:
Oversee, enhance and coordinate the After School Activities Program to ensure our program offers the best opportunities for our students.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders: parents, teachers, outside vendors, admissions team, marketing team
Creating an ASA schedule each semester
Sourcing, hiring and managing outside vendors in accordance with ISSP's safer recruitment practices Maintain Single Central Record System for ASA vendors
ASA Budget management
Oversee ASA attendance
Collaborate with Marketing Team to develop marketing and communication materials for ASAs including: (ASA booklet, infographics, standees, schedules, web page, ASA fair)
Responsive and proactive approach to community feedback
Review and Refine ASA guidelines and protocols where applicable
Planning and organizing in a collegial and professional manner with peers, showing respect, being prepared and on time, and adhering to the school wide meeting norms and team's essential agreements at all times
Overseeing the delivery of community events in conjunction with the ISSP community and within the PYP IB Framework that are designed to equip students with the skills needed to become active change agents in their community.
Manage and support community events committees
Extended professional role:
Contributing towards the whole-school team spirit by taking every opportunity to promote the philosophy and policies of the International School Saigon Pearl
Taking responsibility for ASA classes during times of emergency
Supervising the children at break/lunch and other unstructured times
Ensuring that the children are safe and secure at all times
Communicating regularly and positively with parents via timely meetings, reports and conferences
Parents:
Communicating with parents regarding both the After School Activities Program and Community Events
Coordinating efforts to engage parents as advocates of the After School Activities Program
General:
To provide any other reasonable duties delegated by the School Management
Be familiar with ISSP Health and Safety Policies and ISSP Safeguarding Policies
Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required
