1. Job Purpose
To drive sales growth of analytical instruments used in mining mineral, cement and advanced material characterization, with a primary focus on Laser Diffraction (LD) and X-ray technic such as Mastersizer, Zetasier, XRF, XRD; Fusion, etc. The role involves developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer accounts, and working closely with technical and application teams to provide complete solutions to customers in industries such as cement & construction, mining mineral, chemicals, coatings, and research institutes.
2. Key Responsibilities.
A. Sales &
Business Development• Achieve or exceed sales targets for thermal analysis and rheology instruments in the assigned territory or segment.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, and proactive customer engagement.
• Manage the entire sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, technical discussions, quotation, negotiation, and closing.
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools.
B. Customer Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers (R&D centers, universities, QC labs, manufacturing plants, etc.).
• Understand customer needs and propose appropriate instrument solutions.
• Conduct regular visits, presentations, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
C. Product Demonstration & Technical Support (Pre-Sales)
• Collaborate with
application specialists to conduct product presentations, seminars, demos, and trials.
• Understand the key applications of thermal analysis and rheology to effectively communicate benefits and differentiate products.
• Provide accurate technical and commercial information to customers.
D. Market Intelligence & Strategy
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify growth opportunities.
• Contribute input to marketing strategies, campaigns, and events.
• Participate in trade shows, conferences, and technical seminars to promote instruments and solutions.
E. Internal Collaboration
• Work closely with application specialists, service engineers, and marketing teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
• Provide feedback from the field to product and marketing teams for continuous improvement.
3. Qualifications
A. Education:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Polymer Science, or related scientific/technical disciplines.
• A business or sales background is a plus.
B. Experience:
• Minimum 2-3 years of sales experience in scientific instruments, lab equipment, or technical solutions.
• Experience with Mastersizer, Zetasizer, Fusion, XRF, XRD is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with key industries (e.g., cement, mining mineral, coatings & academia) is advantageous.
C. Technical Skills:
• Good understanding of material characterization principles.
• Ability to conduct basic product presentations and explain instrument features.
• Familiarity with SFDC tools and MS Office.
D. Soft Skills:
• Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong customer focus and solution-oriented mindset.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently or in a team.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
4. Preferred Attributes
• Experience working with major brands such as Rigaku, Bruker, Anton Paar, ThermoFisher, Malvernpanalytical, etc.
• Previous involvement in instrument seminars, roadshows, or technical workshops.
