Mô tả công việc
JOB PURPOSE:
• Ensure that valuation processes for IFRS4 reserves (or IFRS17 reserves when applicable) and Capital/Solvency
(both Local and Canadian basis) are in line with actuarial principle and standards and statutory requirements.
• Lead the full implementation of IFRS17 in project mode basis and ensure compliance with IFRS 17 standard.
Ensure the continuation of IFRS 17 framework after implementation phase
• Develop, attract and retain talents for the team
• Lead ad hoc transversal analysis and communicate with Executive/Leaders team of SLV and senior Regional
Office stakeholders
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Lead IFRS17 implementation (30%)
Lead full implementation of IFRS17 in project mode basis and ensure compliance with IFRS 17 standard. Ensure
the continuation of IFRS 17 framework after implementation phase, including:
• Ensure that the deliverables (IFRS17 assumptions, implement changes to the setup of valuation model
to support the IFRS17 run, [protected info] documentations) are in a timely and high-quality
manner.
• Project the financial positions for Business Plan and quantify the product profitability under IFRS17. Advise feature of new products in view of IFRS 17 implications.
• Build content and Conduct IFRS17 Training for all actuarial staff of SLV
2. IFRS4 (or IFRS17 when applicable) Reserves and Capital (30%)
Ensure that valuation processes for IFRS4 reserves (or IFRS17 reserves when applicable) and Capital/Solvency
(both Local and Canadian basis) are in line with actuarial principle and standards and statutory requirements,
including:
• Set up and recommend changes as needed to ensure that Reserves and Capital comply with local
regulations and international standards.
• Ensure that deliverables are in a timely and high-quality manners with meaningful analysis of results.
• Review and propose changes in assumptions as appropriate. Prepare documentations, quantify impact
of the changes and communicate to the key stakeholders in both regional office and local.
• Lead Automation and improvement of valuation process.
3. Attract, Develop and Retain Talent for the Team (20%)
• Continue to attract talent to the team when any vacancy arises, as well as when the need expands.
• Coach the current staff of different levels in related actuarial knowledge, and communications skills
• Develop key talents in the team, such as providing guidance and support, driving career development
and/or training plan
• Identify and promote rotational opportunities for staff development, where possible
• Build a teamwork culture and strengthen team bonding and chemistry
4. Lead ad hoc transversal analysis, including but not limited to (10%)
• Profit emergence patterns by product and channels in both local and Canadian basis
• Impact of LICAT to VNB under Canadian basis
• Capital consumption of existing products
• Propose solutions to improve earnings
5. Other tasks assigned by Line Manager (10%)

• Local: Finance, Investments, Products, Distribution teams, IT, Operations, ALM
MANAGEMENT SCOPE:
• Total number of direct reports: 3
• Total number of staff managed (direct and indirect): 3

• The ability to make balanced and sound recommendations and decisions, by understanding issues and problems,
evaluating the consequences of alternative solutions and to select the most appropriate alternative.
Recommendations and decisions need to be implementable, effective, and well thought through.
• Having experienced with Actuarial software (Axis is preferable)
• Having experienced with full IFRS17 implementation is preferable
• Strong communication skill including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and appropriately (both
written and verbal) in Vietnamese and English
• The ability to make balanced and sound recommendations and decisions, by understanding issues and problems,
evaluating the consequences of alternative solutions and to select the most appropriate alternative.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in actuarial, or related to actuarial science
• At least Associate of Society of Actuaries or equivalent
• At least 8 years of experience working in actuarial department
• Experience with GGY AXIS modelling is a plus
