The responsibilities of the battery chemistry applications lead include contributing to engineering activities for researching various battery cells and chemistries for electric vehicle battery applications; as well as providing status updates, supporting component specification and validation requirements, and collaborating with other engineering teams to develop successful battery packs.

Responsibility

• Research current and future battery chemistries

• Develop positives and negatives of chemistries against vehicle program requirements

• Collaborating with other engineering teams to define battery system specifications.

• Participate in the product development processs

• Support developing and maintaining key battery systems documents; i.e. systems specification, DFMEA, test & validation plan, etc.

• Develop life requirements and use-case scenarios

• Work proactively with suppliers to ensure high quality work effort is delivered on-time

• Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.

• Work to support delivery of a state-of-the-art battery system on time with quality and within budget

• Accurately communicating assigned work project's development status and execution
