Mô tả công việc
The Vice Principal (Vietnamese) assists the Principal, other Vice-principal and the CISS Head of School (if yes) in building, developing the Secondary division of BCIS. This role is responsible for the overall professional leadership and management of BCIS Secondary curriculum and programme of instruction. The scope of responsibilities covers BCIS Secondary institutional culture, quality of provision and service, school accreditation, authorisation of curriculum, compliance with academic standards, quality assurance and academic staff management.
The Secondary Vice Principal (Vietnamese) will collaborate with the Principal represent BCIS Secondary division in working with parents, educational organisations, partners and other local communities; efficiently collaborate with other Vice Principals and related Departments to ensure the effectiveness of BCIS's daily operations.
1. School Vision and Mission
- Develop, build, and ensure the vision of BCIS Secondary is clearly articulate, shared, understood, and acted upon effectively through BCIS school's objectives and operational plans that promote and sustain a culture of BCIS school improvement.
2. Leading Learning and Teaching
- Lead BCIS Secondary Vietnamese faculty staff to organize and manage teaching activities including extra- curricular programs in line with the BCIS objectives and vision.
- Assist the Principal and the CISS Head of School (if yes) in setting up the application policies and enrolment procedure based on BCIS standards, collaborating with BCIS leadership team members and other related departments for implementation.
- Assist the Principal and the CISS Head of School (if yes) in establishing and supervising effective practices within the school for students' safety and welfare.
- Oversee the Secondary curriculum and ensure it caters for the needs of all Secondary students and review Secondary student performance and plan for improvement.
- Carry an annual review of the progress of the academic program of the Secondary complete with recommendations for improvement.
3. Faculty Staff Performance Management
- Assist the Principal and the CISS Head of School (if yes) in building, managing, leading, and motivating the Secondary academic leadership team comprised of the Vietnamese teachers and other faculty staff members.
- Recruit personnel, within the framework of BCIS policies and deploy strategically to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness, including new teachers' recruitment, job postings, interviews, employment proposal, orientation for new academic staff.
4. Quality Organisation Management
- Assist the Principal and the CISS Head of School (if yes) in managing and monitoring the educational quality of BCIS Secondary division; lead and guide the BCIS Secondary leadership team in developing and implementing educational programs approved by the Principal and the CISS Head of School, the Board of Directors/ Board of Managers and the BCIS partners.
- Assist the Principal and the CISS Head of School (if yes) in creating and building an organisation structure which reflects the BCIS school values, and develop and recommend school policies, clear and evidence-based improvement plans.
- Work in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Advisory Board (when required) to ensure compliance with the MOET/DOET education and drive high quality result in education.
- Collaborate with other related departments to manage efficiently customer (staff members, parents, students, partners) feedbacks to improve overall school operations and customer services.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and legal policies, procedures, and requirements.
5. Accountability
- In coordination with other Vice Principals and related Departments implement an annual plan for PR Marketing and student recruitment for Secondary division, in conjunction with the Principal and the CISS Head of School (if yes) and the Board of Directors/ Board of Managers in the annual student recruitment plan.
- Ensure individual staff accountabilities in the Secondary division are clearly defined, understood and agreed corresponding to the performance appraisal criteria/policy.
- Assist the Principal review and evaluate levels of accountability and responsibility of all Secondary Vietnamese staff.
- Assist the Principal develop and present a coherent, understandable, and accurate account of BCIS Secondary performance.
- Assist the Principal and collaborate with other related departments to prepare yearly budget supported by a business plan for the Secondary division to maximize financial resources as approved by the Board of Directors/ Board of Managers; and monitor regularly financial forecasts and set correctives measures.

6. School Community
- Collaborate with the BCIS Leadership team in building consensus around school vision, mission and organisational objectives that fosters an atmosphere of trust and caring and demonstrate interpersonal skills for the empowerment of others across the BCIS.
*Note: MOET/DOET programs including the integrated programs (if yes), for example, the integrated MOET and IGCSE/A-levels. The Vice-Principal (Vietnamese) will take responsibilities for the MOET/DOET part and the Vice-Principal (Expat) and IGCSE/A-levels Coordinator will take responsibilities of the international parts.

Yêu cầu
- An advanced degree, Bachelor of a Secondary education is a must, preferably an extra degree in School Management and Instructional Leadership
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a teacher, 7 years' experience working in school, preferably as a K-12 School Principal or Vice Principal, Secondary Vice Principal.
Abilities/ Skills
- Strong background in instructional and school administration leadership.
- Experience with Vietnamese or/and other advanced education systems and K-12 school model; experience with Canadian/ British or other international education system would be an advantage.
- Experience in recruiting Vietnamese and international teachers and managing a diverse multicultural team and faculty.
- Proven leadership and management skills in high performing academic organisations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Strong influencing, negotiation, persuasive and collaborative skills.
