Bottom Engineer (Footwear)

-The Compound Engineering Specialist is responsible for compound development, trial, consistency testing, wear testing, test result analysis, physical property standard setting, and compound price confirmation.
-The position will be responsible for management of documenting compound formulas/ performance specs/ cost break sheet to ensure product quality/consistency/ correct price from development to industrialization/mass production.
-The position need drive to set up compound library/ compound matrix in PLM system.
-The position is working closely with Dev-Com, Mold, Costing, Lab team and coordinate with superior /leadership.
-Compound development: Supervise, Manage and lead Deckers compound development projects, including performance/ innovation foam and sustainable compounds.
-Follow compound development process for compound trial, consistency testing, wear testing, test result analysis, physical property standard testing, and compound price confirmation.
-Compound consolidation and cost saving: consolidate the generic compounds and standardize the formula.
-Drive cost saving projects through compound formula optimization.
-Compound library: drive to set up compound library in PLM system, including compound naming rules, compound SPEC, compound cost, and compound matrix
-Generic Commercialization: Commercialize Deckers compound materials within the category recommending shoe making, aid design, product development and consult with product innovation, mold team for finalize/ commercialize compound in development and mass production.
-Support brands/ Product Developers/ QA team as compound expert/ consultant
-Special Projects: Drive special compound projects assigned by manager/ leadership team.
