About the Role
We are seeking a collaborative Business Applications Analyst to join our Information Technology (IT) department at our Mascot Head Office on a fixed-term contract through to August 2027. In this pivotal role, you will partner with cross-functional business stakeholders and IT technical teams to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and deliver high-quality application recommendations.
From evaluating supply chain and enterprise systems to developing test scripts and maintaining current-state business models, you will play a crucial role in ensuring technology deliverables align seamlessly with our strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business partners and IT staff to gather, define, and document functional requirements for software development and testing.
Issue Prioritisation: Evaluate and prioritise low-to-medium complexity business issues from multiple sources and recommend practical, effective solutions.
Process Analysis & Mapping: Analyse business processes and map them to solution deliverables to ensure alignment with organisational goals and operational efficiency.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test scripts against identified requirements to validate software functionality and ensure solution integrity.
Documentation: Draft and review documentation in compliance with established software development standards and processes.
Business Modelling: Maintain business models reflecting current processes and business rules to support ongoing software development initiatives.
Impact & Dependency Analysis: Identify impacted systems and dependencies to ensure smooth resolution of business issues across the IT environment.
About You
To excel in this role, you bring a structured analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills that allow you to influence, persuade, and build consensus across technical and non-technical teams.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related discipline.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Domain Background: Relevant work experience involving external solutions in
business development, consulting, or systems support for Supply Chain Management (SCM), 3rd Party Logistics (3PL), or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Manufacturing Resource Planning systems.
Methodologies & Frameworks: Sound understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and the SAFe Agile framework.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to analyse complex processes, identify system dependencies, and execute thorough QA testing.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Fluent in English with strong judgement, decision-making, influencing, and persuasion skills.
