POSITION OVERVIEW
The
Business Development Specialist will play a critical role in expanding our product offerings and strengthening supplier relationships. This role involves being the key point of contact for suppliers, preparing sales forecasts and reports, sourcing new suppliers, and facilitating the introduction of market trends and product innovations from suppliers to customers and S.I.M.VN. The Business Development Specialist will work closely with Sales, Procurement, and R&D teams to align strategic growth plans. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and has experience in the specialty ingredients industry.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Supplier Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers, review supplier contracts, and prepare necessary meeting materials. Foster strong relationships with suppliers and ensure clear and consistent communication.
Order / Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare accurate order estimates, sales forecasts, and pipeline reports for key suppliers and for internal planning. Work with Sales to develop strategic growth plans to meet business goals.
New Supplier Development: Source and develop new supplier relationships to expand our product offerings and meet customer demands through attending conferences, research, and developing industry relationships.
Market Research: Analyze internal and market data to understand market share, competitive positioning, and pricing. Conduct market research, including monitoring trends and competitors' pricing and identifying new business opportunities.
Product Innovation: Drive innovation seminars and facilitate the sharing of the latest market trends, prototypes, and product innovations from suppliers to internal teams and customers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Procurement, and R&D teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, or a related field.
A minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the food industry.
Strong understanding of the specialty ingredients market.
Detail-oriented with the ability to review contracts and other critical documents.
Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
Income: From 25,000,000 - 35,000,000 VND/month (Negotiatable based on competence)
