Buying & Store Operations Manager (Health & Beauty Retail)

* Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced retail professional to lead our merchandising strategy, supplier management, and store operations. This role is central to driving profitable growth by optimizing gross margins, managing inventory health, and ensuring an excellent customer experience at the store level.
* Key Responsibilities
Buying & Merchandising Strategy
Assortment Management: Build and manage the assortment plan and planograms to optimize key categories within Health & Beauty.
Strategic Negotiation: Source and negotiate with suppliers/brand owners regarding pricing, rebates, marketing support, and commercial terms (credit, returns, MOQs).
Commercial Planning: Develop price architecture, promotional calendars, and launch plans for new products based on market trends.
Inventory Health: Own the end-to-end inventory process, including demand forecasting, stock turn optimization, expiry management, and shrink control.
Store Operations
Operational Standards: Establish and supervise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for merchandising, hygiene, cash control, and store safety.
Customer Experience: Develop service scripts, product consultation standards, and manage loyalty/member activation programs.
Loss Prevention: Conduct cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, investigate shrink, and implement corrective actions for stock and cash accuracy.
Reporting & Other Duties
Data Analytics: Utilize POS/ERP data to analyze business performance (sales, margins, conversion rates) and drive decision-making.
Executive Reporting: Deliver regular performance updates and action plans as requested by the General Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
