Completed applications, including IOM Personal History Form, application letter, and copies of diplomas and certificates, recommendation letters, etc. may be delivered to the IOM Mission Office in Hanoi at 304 Kim Ma, Ba Dinh dist., Ha Noi or submitted electronically to mail referring to this Vacancy Notice's Position Title.
IOM only accepts profiles with IOM Personal History Form duly completed.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT AND SCOPE:
Under the direct supervision of the National Resources Management Officer the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of cashier duties. In particular, he/she will:
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Perform fees collection and ensure all collected money as well as cash of the office is kept in a secured and safe place in compliance with IOM related instructions.
• Maintain office's petty cash/Cash for work and be responsible for reporting on a regular basis on the status of fund.
• Process and release duly approved cash payments and ensure they are supported by signed receipts.
• Handle/monitor banking duties such as deposits, withdrawals, follow-up on bank statements and other banking information as needed by the Resources Management Unit.
• Issue proper receipts for all cash and card payments and to ensure that all cash and card payments are banked intact at the CoB.
• Timely record data in the systems.
• Identify any reconciliation difference on daily basis and investigate and refer them in the first instance to the direct supervisor to determine the necessary action to be taken.
• Maintain an efficient filing system of cash receipts and payments with appropriate supporting documents.
• Advise the National Resources Management Officer the petty cash/Cash for Work balances daily.
• Accomplish tasks within the given timetable,
• Perform any other related tasks as may be assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION
• Completed secondary education and/or certificate in accounting from an accredited institution.
• 4 years' experience (or 2 years for candidates holding bachelor/university degree) in accounting and cash management.
EXPERIENCE
• Good analytical skills and excellent knowledge of computer applications - is a MUST.
• High level of computer literacy e) Sound knowledge of MS Office, specifically EXCEL.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
SKILLS
• In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization.
• Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
• Knowledge of financial rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS)
LANGUAGUES
• Fluency in both English and Vietnamese
• Other relevant languages are an advantage.
