CFO (Hanoi)

A fast-growing retail startup (based in Hanoi) is seeking a CFO to lead their Finance team. The company is backed by a number of leading VC funds in the region.
Description
Financial Strategy & Planning:
* Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with its overall business goals. Forecast financial outcomes, set budgets, and drive long-term financial planning.
Financial Operations:
* Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounting, tax, treasury, payroll, and financial controls. Ensure compliance with legal regulations and adherence to best financial practices.
Financial Modeling & Analysis:
* Build and refine financial models to support business growth. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Present insights to executive leadership for strategic decision-making.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
* Lead the annual budgeting process, track performance against the budget, and adjust forecasts based on real-time data.
Cost Control & Profitability:
* Develop strategies to optimize costs and drive profitability. Monitor expenses, reduce inefficiencies, and ensure optimal allocation of resources.
Team Leadership:
* Build and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship and professional development for team members.
Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred
* Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role
* Strong understanding of the fashion retail industry and its financial dynamics
* Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with a focus on driving business results
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
* Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team management and development
* Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools
