Job Title - Chief Accountant
You will handle all financial aspects of Evoco - Vietnam's production facility to ensure the company's financial objectives are met. This includes accounting, reporting, budgeting/forecasting, cash management & cash planning, inventory costing, regulatory and financial reporting. You will also act as the key contact for all external audits.
You will ensure that the financial statements are in accordance with both Vietnam accounting standards and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises in Canada. (ASPE)
You will develop internal control policies and procedures to ensure that risk of fraud is minimized and that company assets are not misused.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain effective businesses practices and business controls to support accounting, reporting, costing, budgeting & forecasting, cash management, and taxes. This role also oversees the AR collection function.
Establish effective reporting to support Evoco - Canada's reporting requirements.
Ensure all financial transactions are properly authorized, supported by the necessary documentation and recorded in all accounting systems.
Ensure all month end processes are complete, properly supported and reviewed.
Ensure regular financial statements, and other reporting, are analyzed and investigated as needs. Provide audience-oriented summary.
Lead Evoco - Vietnam's budgeting/forecasting process, working closely with the local team to develop data-backed budgets. Ensure that Evoco - Vietnam's budget adheres to the requirements set out by Evoco - Canada.
Manage all aspects of cash management; prepare rolling cash flow forecasts (short and long term).
Establish and maintain an inventory costing methodology and related processes that support Evoco - Canada's needs.
Ensure tax related government compliance is remitted according to government guidelines.
Key contact for all annual audits that involve the Vietnam company - for Vietnam and Canada.
