Job Description

We are looking for a Chief Accountant - Buymed Group (Vietnam) to supervise and manage all day-to-day operations of accounting and tax functions of the Buymed Group in Vietnam. Responsibilities of the Chief Accountant of Buymed Group (Vietnam) include ensuring adequate, accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting at the Group level and at individual legal entities, maintaining compliance with company policies, accounting, tax and other regulatory requirements as well as fostering strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and subordinates.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial reporting:

Oversee the preparation of monthly/quarterly and annual financial statements
Make sure that all consolidated financial reports at the group level and financial reports of each individual legal entity are accurately and timely prepared and in compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
Responsible for reporting consolidated Group financials

2. Accounting operations and Taxation:

Set up the accounting system, manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including but not limited to:

+ Month and year-end closing process and group consolidation process

+ Recording and controlling cash receipts and payments, cash balance.

+ Recording and controlling revenue and expenditure transactions.

+ Recording and controlling capital assets, fixed assets

+ Recording inventory movement, cost of goods and controlling inventory balance

+ Payroll entries

+ Monitoring and reconcile account receivables, account payables, intercompany transactions

+ Recording and controlling Debt transactions

+ Corporate tax activities; Accounting & Tax business partner. Ensure compliance and accuracy of tax reports and submitting them in a timely manner

Contribute to cash flow management, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring that cash flow impacts of ledger transactions are effectively managed
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or accounting reports fo stakeholders on time
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. Ensure compliance of transactions with both IFRS and VAS
Oversee and manage chart of accounts of the whole group (Vietnam)
Coordinate and complete annual audits, and tax inspections in Vietnam
Provide recommendations to improve accounting policies and processes
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
Work directly with departments to support and address any issues
Other professional tasks assigned by the CFO

3. Reconciliation and Audits:

Review monthly and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance in compliance with the VAS and IFRS requirements
Coordinate and work with external auditors during audit processes
Ensure intercompany balances are correctly reconciled between companies

4. Team Leadership:

Lead, train, and develop the accounting staff
Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
Evaluate staff performance periodically

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting and auditing or corporate finance
A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience as Chief Accountant or higher position in relevant
industries
Proven working experience as an Chief Accountant or related position
Chief Accountant certificate or CPA is required. ACCA is plus
Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, taxes, and
regulations
IFRS is preferred
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to direct and supervise
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
