Chief Accountant

1. About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function of our Vietnam entity and to support financial reporting across the group.
Reporting directly to the Director and based full-time in our Ho Chi Minh City office, the Chief Accountant will own day-to-day accounting operations, statutory and tax compliance, and management reporting, while overseeing the accounting activities of the operations team. The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude and a genuine desire to grow with the company and be part of its success.
2. Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
• Act as the company's statutory Chief Accountant: co-sign statutory financial statements and tax filings with the Legal Representative, and maintain the company's Chief Accountant registration with banks and tax authorities.
• Maintain the accounting system and records in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and Circular 200/2014/TT-BTC.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements, and support consolidation across the Singapore and Vietnam entities.
• Account for related-party / inter-company transactions between group entities and prepare the required transfer-pricing documentation.
• Perform corporate tax reporting and ensure timely, compliant filing of VAT, CIT, PIT and Foreign Contractor Tax (FCT), together with other cross-border tax obligations.
• Process and record payment requests and orders in the payment register (Excel and internal platform).
• Maintain all domestic and foreign banking relationships.
• Review account activity for errors, mismatches or potential fraud.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors for statutory reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, providing management reporting using data-analytics tools.
• Oversee and develop accounting/operations staff involved in bookkeeping and payments.
• Provide general administrative support and additional ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
