Chipmill Manager

The Plant Manager has the ultimate responsibility for Operations taking place in the facility (site leadership responsibility) including:

1. Manufacturing

• Manage daily operations in the facility

• Responsibility for production output, product quality and on-time shipping

• Production Control and Materials Control

• Logistics and export

• Delivery of an efficient lean factory driving cost savings and efficiency improvements

2. Maintenance

• Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment & vehicle used at the facility (minimum of technical stops)

• Ensure right performance of all equipment & vehicle used at the facility (minimum downtime)

• Involvement in selecting and installing new equipment

3. Health & Safety

• Ensure safety and efficiency of the facility.

• Creating a culture focused on the safety of our staff

• Ensure compliance with VN law/regulations and company's policies

• Ensure compliance with local government regulations

4. Quality Control

• Ensure all products produced are meeting the quality standards as well as the agreed customer specifications

• Acting in line with all forestry production legislation

• Liaise with internal quality control Dept of the head offices for continuous quality improvement

5. Human Resource Management

• Allocate and fully utilize resources effectively to produce optimal results. Control and minimize labour overtime

• Ensure day shift and night shift in line with production standard procedure

6. Site Performance and Administration

• Build up and control Budget

• Stock and Cost Accounting

• Cost Control, to continually review site overhead costs, bring in creative ways of working which facilitate overhead cost reduction

• Ensure smooth local Purchasing and supplier relationship management

• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets

• Prepare KPI reports and production and performance reports

• Continuously review and drive down total production cost per ton with initiatives

7. Other

• Liaise with local port for smooth loading and ensure on-time shipping docs preparation for shipments
