JOB DESCRIPTION
The role
As
a Merchandising Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the visual and
strategic direction of our product offerings. Your keen understanding of
consumer behavior, market trends, and creative instincts will be essential in
curating a compelling and cohesive product assortment that resonates with our
target audience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams,
including design, marketing, and sales, to maximize revenue and enhance the
overall brand experience.
Responsibilities
Merchandising Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive
merchandising strategy aligned with company objectives, ensuring a diverse and
appealing product mix.
Analyze market trends, competitor activity,
and customer preferences to identify opportunities for product assortment
optimization.
Product Assortment Planning:
Define seasonal product assortment based on
customer personas, market trends, and sales data.
Collaborate with product design and
development teams to conceptualize and create products that align with brand
identity and customer demands.
Omni-Channel Merchandising:
Add, Update, and maintain all data across
all channels and be responsible for the data integrity - Photos, Specs, Pricing
Provide gap analysis on all channel
assortment and pricing
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and sales
performance to recommend restocking, discontinuations, and promotions.
Implement effective inventory control
measures to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
Sales Analysis and Reporting:
Regularly analyze sales data to identify
top-performing products, emerging trends, and areas for improvement.
Generate reports and presentations to
communicate merchandising performance and insights to leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing teams to align
merchandising strategies with promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives.
Collaborate with sales teams to gather
customer feedback and insights, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Merchandising,
Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience in merchandising, ideally
in a leadership role within the retail or e-commerce industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability
to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer behavior.
Excellent visual and creative thinking,
with an eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using merchandising
software, inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite - strong Excel
formula knowledge.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and
interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic
environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong organizational skills and the
ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
