Power BI Platform Administration
● Install, configure, and upgrade Power BI services and components.
● Monitor the health and performance of Power BI services and take necessary actions to optimize performance.
● Manage user access, roles, and permissions in Power BI.
● Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
● Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Power BI with other systems and data sources.
Data Modeling and Reporting
● Design and develop efficient data models, including data sources, relationships, calculations, and measures.
● Create visually appealing and interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI tools.
● Optimize data models and reports for performance and usability.
User Support and Training
● Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI users.
● Train and educate users on Power BI features, best practices, and self-service analytics.
● Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and training materials.
Data Governance and Quality
● Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards for Power BI.
● Ensure data quality and accuracy by monitoring data sources, data refresh
processes, and data transformation workflows.
● Collaborate with data stewards and data owners to resolve data quality issues.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation in Power BI administration and reporting
Power BI Looker
• Lead and manage the migration project from Tableau to Looker, ensuring a
seamless transition and optimal utilization of Looker's capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs,
and translate them into effective visualizations and reports using Looker and
Power BI.
• Develop, design, and maintain reports, dashboards, apps, and data models in
Looker and Power BI.
• Utilize DAX, DAX Studio, and M language to create complex calculations, measures,
and transformations.
• Utilize Power Query for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
• Work with various database systems, including MSSQL, NoSQL, Postgres, and
SSMS, to extract and analyze data for reporting purposes.
• Experience in using Azure or GCP for data storage, processing, and analysis.
• Perform thorough troubleshooting and debugging of issues related to data
extraction, transformation, and visualization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data-related
challenges and optimize data analytics processes.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Power BI, Looker, and
related technologies.
