Color & Material Manager (Newly Built Factory in Dong Nai)

Color & Material Manager is responsible for leading the Color & Material Department and ensure to provide to mass production & sample production a perfect quality of color mixes in the needed time and ensure the material management/handling/planning.



1. Overall Management - Leading the Color & Material Department

- Keep track of the organization chart, hire new employees, give spoken or written warning, fire, control manpower situation.

- Organize, assign and establish trainings, following a training schedule.

- Distribution of Jobs and Tasks within the C&M Department

- Set targets and evaluate C&M staff, follow-up on evaluations of workers in collaboration with HR



2. Overall Management - Reporting to Superior, BoD and other departments

- Report Issues about Colors, Equipment failures or shortages material to production manager or BoD

- Report Material Consumption & Purchasing

- Report Material Effectiveness (Recycle Ratio) weekly to Production Manager and Controlling



3. Overall Management - Establish and Maintain current standards in C&M Department

- Follow-up: Establish and maintain Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)

- Follow-up: Establish and maintain Work Instruction (WI)

- Keep JD for C&M team updated

- Follow-up: Establish and maintain 5S scans, announce improvements and evaluate



4. Overall Management - Continuous Improvement in C&M Department

- Work on a continuous improvement mindset of all staff of C&M department

- Conduct and train PDCA projects



5. Color - Establish and maintain Supplier relations, standardize and improve processes

- Follow-up on orders conducted by color team, support and trouble shoot.

- Create, control and follow-up on purchasing plan & strategy

- Follow-up and decision making of new developments

- Communicate color related issues to all impacted departments

- Follow-up on incoming control standards, ensure materials follow customer standards.



6. Color - Internal relations color

- PPIC - color planning

- Lab - Color tests

- Development - New developments, special requests

- Sales - new orders

- Production - information in case of delays, work together solution oriented



7. Color - Mass production colors

- Ensure the developed colors can be used in mass production without out-of-the plan adjustments

- Conduct and train Root-Cause-Analysis, report results, implement and suggest improvements

- Troubleshooting in case of color variation or other color related issues

- Follow-up on customer claims and report to superior

- Follow-up, set, improve and maintain the mixing process to ensure right quality and quantity

- Sign-off for compounding decisions in case it is seen as an appropriate tool. Inform to superior.



8. Color - Color Development

- Pre-Development of colors with Color Chip, measurementand storage of color

- Ensure all DTC have the right color and can be produced in time



9. Material - Heel Counter Compound

- Right Quantity

- Right Quality

- Support of new developments for heel counter compounds

- Follow-up on tests and trials for new heel counter compounds, report to key account and production manager



10. Material - Recycling

- Maximize the recycling of material, avoid wastes

- Ensure at all times the quality of recycled materials

- Maintain and improve processes
