Quantify and segment the market for educational services, identifying key growth areas.
Use both top-down and bottom-up approaches to validate market size and potential.
Competitive Analysis:
Conduct in-depth competitor analysis using frameworks like Porter's Five Forces, instead of SWOT, to understand industry dynamics, competitor strategies, and potential threats.
Identify competitive advantages, barriers to entry, and substitution risks.
Primary Research:
Design, conduct, and analyze detailed surveys, interviews, and focus groups with students, educators, and industry stakeholders to gather insights on needs, preferences, and market perceptions.
Utilize these findings to inform commercial strategy and investment thesis.
Channel Checks and Market Validation:
Perform field visits or virtual engagements to validate market assumptions through direct observation and interaction with market players.
Assess the distribution channels, supplier relationships, and go-to-market strategies of potential acquisitions.
Data Analysis and Modeling:
Develop financial and operational models to forecast potential returns, costs, and risks associated with acquisitions.
Use statistical tools to analyze data trends and market behaviors.
Report and Presentation Development:
Synthesize research and analysis into executive summaries, investment memos, and detailed reports that meet the analytical rigor of MBB quality standards.
Create compelling presentations for senior management and stakeholders, focusing on actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, with experience in tools like Excel for financial modeling and basic programming for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
Research Experience: Proven track record in conducting primary and secondary market research, with an understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Consulting Skills: Preferably with prior internship or involvement in consulting projects, demonstrating capability in problem-solving, case structuring, and client interaction.
Communication: Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, strategic insights.
Proactivity: Self-starter attitude, with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
