Control Modelling Engineer

• Strong fundamentals of AC electric motors and drive systems analysis, modeling and control.
• Solid background in E-Motor and Power Electronic as well as the Electric Drive System (EDS).
• Solid background in linear systems analysis, stability, and controller design.
• Basic proficiency with embedded firmware development in C/C++ and model development and data analysis in Matlab/Simulink, PLECS or other Motor Control Toolbox.
• Willingness to meet deadlines, self-management skills.
• Work closely within team members and other departments in an international environment
• Good English written and oral communication skills
• Bachelor/Master graduation in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent degree.
• Minimum 1 years' experience in automotive industry.
Preferred qualification:
• Good knowledge of mechatronic components and power electronic components and system in EV
• Experience in model-based development of automotive software components with HIL Real-Time validation
• Understanding of torque control techniques such as slip-based control, field oriented control (FOC), direct torque control (DTC) and other modern control engineering.
• Prior experience with flux estimation methods, 3-phase power control, analytical control system theory development and analysis,
• Experience with various PWM schemes such as space vector modulation (SVM), discontinuous modulation (DPWM), and sinusoidal modulation (SPWM), including data-acquisition methods.
• Familiarity with sensorless motor control algorithms, very high speed and low speed control techniques.
• Capability of delivering high-quality C code in an embedded microcontroller environment.
• System-oriented understanding of thermal, vehicle-level torque control, high voltage DC-link integration, efficiency optimization, and firmware integration for electric drives.
• Capable of creating models, simulations, and analysis tools to solve engineering problems using PLECS, PSIM, MATLAB/SIMULINK, Mathcad or similar engineering tools.
• Strong familiarity with design, development and manufacturability of power converters.
• Experience with engineering process models and tools (ASPICE, ISO26262, Agile, EA, DOORS).
• Hand-on experience with development platform (dSPace, Vector Tools, ETAS INCA, MATLAB SIM).
• Experience with in-vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet), Unified Diagnostic Service (UDS), XCP measurement and calibration.
• Experience with Automotive Functional Safety is a plus.
