Corporate Affairs Manager

WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE



The role will be responsible to support business operations and growth in line with other functions/regional/global direction protecting or increase volume/profit, support product and business expansion and engage our stakeholders.

To ensure the anticipation and assessment of change in the political, legislative, and regulatory environment which create commercial risk and competitive opportunity for the company in the market, and for the development and implementation of strategies and programs which minimize risk and maximize advantage in a responsible, proactive manner.



WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES



Protect and uphold JTI's corporate reputation



- Develop an effective stakeholder's management (including a full mapping of key political and regulatory stakeholders, frequency visit and engagement plan actions)

- Monitor regulatory affairs by nurturing relationship with key government and ministries, de-prioritize or moderate business impacts in coordination with regional/global Corporate Affairs and Communications (CA&C) direction



Protect and grow volume and profit



- Monitor and assess political, legislative and regulatory developments to anticipate changes or trends in the Operating Environment that will create commercial risk and competitive advantage

- Develop a thorough understanding of the political and legislative process, including the mechanisms through which draft laws and other regulatory instruments are designed, introduced and debated for JTI to present its views and position in a timely, effective and consistent manner

- Secure all renewal & extension licenses and approval for smooth business operations (especially for new products launches or rejuvenation)

- Nurture relationship with partners, distributors and local authorities to support our Speed to market and take prompt actions to prevent any disruption to the business operation

- Develop new distribution opportunities with partners and with local authorities

- Monitor with local agencies, authorities, industry, Japan affairs in close collaboration with BD on the local market projects

- Monitor RRP regulation

- Support and follow-up with Corporate Affairs and Communications (CA&C) Director various tasks and projects as they arise and upon Manager's request

- Support Corporate Affairs and Communications (CA&C) Director to develop/coach a strong team by assisting in the recruitment, training, motivation and retention of best of class talents to ensure Corporate Affairs and Communications (CA&C) mission is achieved with the highest quality standards

- Share workload of various commun department tasks as part of the Corporate Affairs and Communications (CA&C) Team
