Corporate and Finance Lawyer

We are currently recruiting for a Corporate and Finance Lawyer to work in the corporate and finance practice area in our Ho Chi Minh City office. We regularly advise on significant M&A transactions and projects in Vietnam. Our clients include market-leading international corporations doing business in Vietnam, international development finance institutions, and the largest domestic companies in Vietnam on their international expansion plans. Most of our transactions are cross-border, and our lawyers regularly have opportunities to work with colleagues across the firm's global network.
Candidates should have a strong academic background, together with excellent relevant practical experience at a well-established firm, and a personality that reflects both teamwork and personal ambition.
• Advising clients on matters of Vietnamese law on a broad range of issues relating to foreign direct investment (FDI), including the establishment of new investment projects, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) as well as project finance and development;
• Drafting and reviewing contracts and other documents relevant to client matters;
• Pro-actively managing routine matters and on-going legal requirements for clients;
• Liaising with government officials at the national and local levels;
• Assisting with business development activities for the firm (for example, drafting articles on legal developments); and
• Additional duties to be assigned as appropriate.
