Cost Controller

We are currently seeking an experienced, thorough, and insightful cost controller to oversee cost management for our operation. In this role, you will actively partner with Operations Director, Plant Manager and other senior plant staffs to optimize plant operational and financial performance.
To succeed in this position, you will demonstrate an aptitude for efficiency, problem-solving, and resourcefulness, with a deep commitment to the bottom line without compromising quality.
Working location: 50% at Head Office (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), 50% at Plant (Hiep Phuoc, Nha Be, Ho Chi Minh City, shuttle bus provided)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively partner with Operations Director, Plant Manager and senior plant staff, providing analytical support to optimize plant operational and financial performance.
- Actively engage in plant initiatives concerning safety
- Coordinate monthly stock takes and seek insight of plant staff to validate stock take differences.
- Review plant overheads monthly, ensuring accuracy and completeness of plant overhead costs.
- Prepare monthly analysis to support validation of variable costs
- Prepare reporting to support the operational and financial performance of the plant
- Prepare and validate unit costing calculations.
- Coordinate the gathering of assumptions for BOM usages, scrap rates, line speeds, and other key metrics for periodic forecasts.
- Prepare forecasts of plant overheads
- Assist in the validation of forecast assumptions relating to plant variable and fixed costs.
- Monitor capex spending and prepare analysis of completed capex expenditure to support asset creation process.
- Coordinate inventory revaluation and validation of changes in inventory value
- Monitor slow moving inventory and actively pursue action on slow moving or damaged inventory
