Mô tả công việc
Main duties
1. Crime unit systems management operations [highest priority duty]:
Assist the WCU TL by maintaining and tracking ALL Sting cases, priority live animal cases, Law enforcement evidence profile (LEEP) cases, to ensure that not a single case is ever dropped. Provide daily morning reports to the WCU TL highlighting cases that require immediate attention that day or week.
Supervise a tracking system for SPI cases to ensure that all SPI cases are followed up on immediately after they are flagged and that the WCU TL is provided daily with a list of priority SPI cases that require attention by the WCU TL. Ensure that SPI cases that are pending are NEVER dropped by the case officers and that the WCU TL is aware of any cases that may not be getting the required attention.
Provide daily reports to the WCU manager highlighting progress on sting, LEEP, live animal, and priority cases. This method of communication will be developed and implemented in June/July 2019
2. Assist with case management and handling
Assist to log new cases to database if needed
Assist with receiving and logging calls on the WCU wildlife crime hotline and conducting informant interviews if needed.
Assist with other urgent duties to facilitate more efficient and effective operation of the WCU
Database clean up projects
3. Reporting:
Daily: Assist to complete the "daily" email summarizing activities, developments, and other important events of the crime unit to communicate with managers.
Statistical reports: Produce and submit crime statistical reports monthly including MSR, Volunteer action report, E-dog report, successful cases.
MDR narrative report: Participate and acquire the ability to produce the WCU MDR narrative monthly report [once institutional knowledge is acquired to do so and writing skills meet requirements]
4. Other assignments
Monitoring assignments: Produce monthly monitoring assignments for ENV Outpost volunteers and ensure that case officers process incoming results each month from volunteers accordingly.
Supplemental document system: Manage ENV's supplemental document (SD) system to ensure that all relevant documents, emails, photos, and other materials associated with cases are electronically named and filed, including weekly delivery to the manager and local case file storage
Supervision of staff: Assist to supervise the staff of the Wildlife Crime Unit (WCU) when the team leader is not in the office.
Administrative duties: Assist to manage routine administrative duties of the WCU including:
Managing WCU staff attendance and submitting absence reports and monthly payroll timesheets as required
Managing printing cartridges when refilled/ or replaced and submit to manager monthly.
Producing budget approval requests as needed [following training]
Other responsibilities: Complete other duties and assignments as specified by the ENV Wildlife Crime Unit Manager/or the WCU Team Leader
