Position Overview:

Your goal is to move from being a "task-taker" to a "trusted advisor" who understands their business as well as they do. We are seeking a technically proficient and business-savvy Data Analyst to join our team at Madison Technologies.
This role is designed for an individual who can bridge the gap between complex data engineering and strategic business growth. You will leverage modern data platforms and AI to optimize core business metrics and automate manual workflows, ensuring we deliver high-impact results for our global clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Data and ERP Readiness
Finance Current-State Assessment: Interview the chief accountant and finance teams to map how exchange rates, timezones and COD (cash-on-delivery) reconciliation are handled today, and set a baseline for current reconciliation time.
Odoo Data Design: Define the data format, schema and table list needed to feed the Data Warehouse into Odoo, including a single FX source, matching keys, COD thresholds, chart of accounts and multi-company setup.
Automated Reconciliation: Design rules for order-level reconciliation so margin can be tracked by SKU, channel and campaign, and COD losses go down.
Single Source of Truth and Business Glossary
Metric Inventory: Extract every measure and calculated field from Power BI, Looker Studio, Lark and Google Sheets, compare them for the same period in SQL, and find the root cause of the top 10 mismatched metrics.
Business Glossary: Build and get owner sign-off on the first 20-30 core metrics (ROAS, CPA, CVR, COGS, gross profit, margin), each with definition, formula, grain and owner, plus one agreed attribution model, committed as version-controlled dbt YAML.
Partner Reporting: Rebuild the definition of the monthly partner report (metrics, formulas, grain, tenant) so it can be fully automated in a multi-tenant setup.
Suggested Metrics and Reports: Propose department-level metric marts and executive KPIs, each with a measured baseline, so the program can show real business impact.
Business Discovery and Stakeholder Management
Multi-Market Interviews: Run structured business interviews with HQ and each of the 9 markets, and send meeting minutes within 24 hours.
Business Growth Strategy: Lay the groundwork for customer profiling, RFM segmentation and cohort analysis to support retargeting, repeat purchase and lifetime value growth.
Progress Reporting: Report OKR status (on track, at risk, off track) in weekly client meetings and contribute to the final readout and go/no-go recommendation.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years as a Data Analyst or
Business Analyst, ideally in e-commerce, retail or fintech, or with a bachelor's degree in a related quantitative field.
Advanced SQL: Expert-level ability to write complex queries on BigQuery (window functions, CTEs, reconciliation queries) to compare and validate numbers across sources.
Programming: Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation.
Executive Visualization: Proficiency in Power BI (DAX) and Looker Studio, including reverse-engineering existing dashboards into clear, KPI-focused tools for C-level stakeholders.
Modern Data Stack: Hands-on experience with BigQuery. Familiarity with dbt (YAML, metrics) and Git, and experience building a business glossary or semantic layer, is a plus.
Product and Marketing Analytics: Hands-on experience with ROAS, CPA, CVR, attribution models and ad platform data (Meta and others); exposure to RFM, churn and LTV analysis is a plus.
Integrated Business Systems: Understanding of revenue recognition, multi currency accounting, COD flows and margin calculation. Experience with Odoo or another ERP, Pancake or Lark/Larkbase is a strong plus.
Linguistic Proficiency: Native Vietnamese for business interviews, plus excellent command of English (both written and verbal), ability to present data narratives to stakeholders.
Location: Based at our Da Nang office.
