The Job
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines to move and transform data efficiently.
- Data Integration: Use Informatica to develop ETL workflows, ensuring high-quality, error-free integration from multiple data sources into Snowflake.
- Data Warehousing: Leverage Snowflake to create and maintain efficient data warehouse structures, including designing and optimizing data models and managing data storage.
- Data Transformation: Develop scripts and leverage Informatica's tools for data cleansing, transformation, and loading to support data analytics and reporting.
- Data Quality Assurance: Monitor data pipelines and resolve data quality issues by identifying discrepancies, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize data flows, queries, and Snowflake configurations to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance scalability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that support their needs.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, accurate documentation of data models, data flows, ETL processes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Sharing knowledge and experience with other departments/teams.
- Working time: 40 hours/week
Your Skills and Experience
Your Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1.5 - 2-year experience in Data Engineer with specific expertise in Snowflake and Informatica.
- Snowflake: Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Informatica: Proficient in Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Cloud for ETL development, mapping, and workflow management.
- SQL: Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries.
- Data Warehousing: Knowledge of data warehousing principles.
- Scripting and Automation: Familiarity with Scala, Apache Spark, Python for automation tasks and data processing at scale.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in English.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data-related issues and solutions clearly.
Optional Requirements (nice to have)
- Experience with other ETL tools or cloud services (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
- Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for data deployments.
- Basic understanding of business intelligence (BI) tools, such as Power BI, DOMO.
