The Job
This role sets up data governance as a company-wide function - so every number we report, internally, to brand partners, and to investors, has one definition, one owner, and one source of truth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the data governance policy, classification framework, and data standards.
- Own the glossary and the shared definitions process - and settle disagreements between teams.
- Lead the Master Data team and build one trusted record for each brand partner, product, channel, and location.
- Set up clear processes for requesting, approving, and reviewing data changes.
- Build the network of Data Owners and Data Stewards across functions (Finance, Commercial, Operations, and SoCom)
- Set data quality standards and response targets and publish monthly scorecards.
- Work with Tech to automate data checks, syncing, and other repetitive tasks.
- Own data access requests and reviews, working with Tech, Data & AI head on technical setup, and build governance into the move to Databricks.
- Run the Data Governance Council and keep a record of decisions.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in data governance, data management, or analytics, with real ownership of a program.
- Experience building a glossary, a master data program, or a data quality program across multiple teams.
- Proven ability to hold senior leaders accountable, without having formal authority over them - this matters more than technical depth.
- Comfortable working with data and cloud systems; experience with Databricks is a strong plus.
- Experience with retail, e-commerce, or marketplace data is a strong plus.
- Experience managing people. Fluent in English; Vietnamese is a plus.
