Data Quality Engineer

We are hiring an experienced Data Quality Engineer with advanced technical skills to join our team at EPAM Vietnam. As a critical player, you will work with a team of intelligent, ambitious and hard-working software professionals. In addition, your independence and responsibility will be the key factors to drive all decisions in the architecture, design and development of our products with high quality.

• Define quality standards and metrics for the project/product, collaborate with stakeholders to review and agree upon them and establish milestones and measurable criteria to monitor quality on a timely basis
• Define processes of testing strategies to ensure all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, test execution, quality assurance and issue tracking
• Review test strategies and ensure all types of testing are covered with continuous innovation
• Identify, and calculate risks, then manage and mitigate them by creating strategies while escalating current risks to stakeholders
• Create milestones for yearly improvement projects, moving towards automation and working with the development team to ensure that quality engineers receive appropriate support

• 5+ years of solid experience in QA/testing or application development
• Strong experience in database and ETL testing from various feeds on servers (S3, SQL, HIVE, Data Bricks, Snow Flake) by using different testing strategies to ensure the data quality, data consistency and timeliness
• Strong command of essential technologies such as SQL scripting and PL/SQL and be able to write complex and automated SQL scripts
• Strong experience in programming language (Java, Python) in the automation frameworks and API testing
• Knowledge of large-scale data processing languages like Pyspark, Big Data and Hadoop concepts as well as data validation on HIVE tables
• Proficient in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, QA methodologies, defect management systems and documentation
• Fluent in both written and spoken English (B2+) with excellent communication and analytical skills
