Key Objective of Role
The key objective of this role is to ensure to design engineer safe, innovative, and cost-optimized Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) solutions. The Design Engineer transforms client requirements into technical reality, ensuring every kilogram of steel is utilized efficiently while meeting all local and international safety standards.
Key Accountabilities
1. 3D Modelling & Structural Analysis
Perform comprehensive 3D modelling and analysis for steel structures, focusing on tapered member optimization and high-strength steel application.
2. Sales Collaboration & Cost Optimization
Collaborate with the Sales/Proposal team to provide accurate steel tonnage estimates and suggest cost-saving design alternatives.
3. Design Standards & Calculation Frameworks
Develop design philosophies and calculation templates that strictly adhere to SNI (Indonesia), AISC, and MBMA standards.
4. Structural Reports & Drawings
Prepare precise structural calculation reports and General Arrangement (GA) drawings for client approval.
5. Shop Drawings & BOM Verification
Verify shop drawings and "Bill of Materials" (BOM) produced by the detailing team to ensure 100% accuracy before fabrication.
6. Technical Support & Issue Resolution
Act as the technical point of contact to resolve on-site installation challenges or fabrication queries.

Qualification:
Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent
Experience:
At least 3 years' relevant experience in structural steel building or PEB industry
Skills/Competency:
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and steel design codes. Extensive knowledge of products, designs, manufacturing processes and procedures
Analytical Skills: Ability to optimize designs for safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in calculations, BOMs, and drawings.
Problem Solving: Resolves technical challenges during fabrication and installation.
Collaboration: Works effectively with sales, detailing, and site teams.
Communication: Clear and professional in technical correspondence and client interactions.
Knowledge of national & international design codes
High proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, Idea Statica, CFS)
