Job Description
Job title: Director of Operation

Role Overview The position is responsible for leading business operations, execution governance, and organizational effectiveness across the Direct Brand business. This role ensures company strategy is translated into scalable execution plans, operational discipline, and sustainable GMV and profitability growth.
The Director of Operation drives cross-functional alignment, operating cadence, and performance management to ensure all functions execute efficiently against business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic management & plan execution
Translate strategic priorities into actionable business plans with clear KPIs, ownership, timelines, and execution milestones.
Drive organization-wide alignment and execution through OKR/KPI governance and performance tracking.
Lead the company operating cadence, including Weekly Business Reviews (WBR), Monthly Business Reviews (MBR), and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
Monitor business performance, execution risks, and operational gaps; drive corrective actions and escalation where necessary.
Partner closely with the CEO and functional leaders to ensure execution consistency across all business functions.
Operational Excellence &
Scalability
Lead end-to-end operational management and supporting functions.
Optimize workflows, SOPs, and operating models to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and service quality.
Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to increase productivity and reduce operational inefficiencies.
Build scalable operating mechanisms to support business growth while maintaining execution quality and operational control.
Organizational Leadership &
Capability Building
Lead and align cross-functional leadership teams toward shared business objectives and execution priorities.
Strengthen organizational capability by coaching functional leaders and improving management accountability.
Foster a performance-driven, collaborative, and execution-focused culture across the organization.
Financial &
Resource Management
Oversee operational planning, resource allocation, and cost management in line with business priorities and growth targets.
Monitor operational and financial performance against budget and business targets; drive recovery plans where needed.
Partner with Finance to ensure operational efficiency, margin improvement, and disciplined cost management.
Qualifications &
Competencies
Operations &
Business Leadership
8-12 years of experience in Operations, Business Management, or General Management, including 3-5 years in senior leadership roles within e-commerce, retail, consumer, or high-growth businesses.
Proven track record in scaling operations, driving organizational execution, and managing cross-functional business performance.
Strong understanding of e-commerce operating models, including marketplace operations, supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, and customer experience.
Execution &
Performance Management
Strong experience in OKR/KPI management, business reviews, and operational governance.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze business metrics, identify risks, and drive execution improvements.
Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Looker or Power BI
SQL is a plus.
Leadership &
Strategic Capability
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership capability.
High ownership, strong execution discipline, and ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect operational decisions to GMV, margin, and profitability outcomes.
