Director Of Operations & Supply Chain

* Job Purpose: The Director of Operations & Supply Chain - Vietnam is responsible for leading all in-country manufacturing, production planning, and end-to-end supply chain activities to meet global service, cost, quality, and safety objectives. This role ensures that production output aligns with customer demand while driving operational efficiency, supply continuity, and continuous improvement. Acting as the key bridge between Vietnam operations and U.S.-based leadership, this position partners closely with global supply chain, operations, and product development teams to support new product launches, optimize service levels, and execute long-term strategic and financial plans.
* Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operations & Production Leadership
• Lead all manufacturing and plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
• Develop and execute production plans that meet customer service requirements and delivery timelines.
• Ensure optimal utilization of labor, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity and throughput.
• Establish and maintain standardized work, lean manufacturing practices, and visual management systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Manage and drive process improvements, capacity planning, and new product industrialization.
2. Supply Chain Management
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, production planning, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics.
• Align supply planning with global demand forecasts to ensure material availability and on-time fulfillment.
• Manage supplier relationships, sourcing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure inventory levels are optimized to balance working capital and service requirements.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity and resilience.
• Coordinate international logistics and shipping in alignment with U.S. distribution and customer requirements.
• Oversee accurate records for all import and export customs tracking.
3. Global Collaboration (U.S. Partnership)
• Serve as the primary operational liaison between Vietnam teams and U.S.-based supply chain and operations leadership.
• Collaborate on product development, new product introductions, and scaling production capabilities.
• Align on service expectations, production priorities, and customer fulfillment strategies.
• Support global initiatives and ensure consistent execution of company standards and processes.
4. Financial & Strategic Leadership
• Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets for Vietnam operations and supply chain.
• Monitor financial performance, including cost of goods, labor, and supply chain expenses.
• Support long-range strategic planning, including capacity expansion, automation, and footprint optimization.
• Deliver against key financial and operational targets through KPI-driven performance management.
• Maintain high ethical standards in safeguarding company assets.
5. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
• Establish and track KPIs across operations and supply chain (service, cost, quality, safety, inventory, productivity).
• Analyze data and performance trends to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Lead regular performance reviews with local and global leadership teams.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement using lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
6. People Leadership & Culture
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations and supply chain organization in Vietnam.
• Establish clear organizational structure, roles, and accountability.
• Recruit, coach, and mentor leadership and functional teams.
• Implement training programs to ensure skill development and operational excellence.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
7. Compliance, Safety & Quality
• Ensure compliance with all local regulations, company policies, and global standards.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure safe work practices across all operations.
• Maintain high standards of product quality and ensure adherence to quality management systems.
8. Additional Responsibilities
• Act as a key member of the global operations leadership team.
• Drive cross-functional alignment to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as required to support organizational objectives.
