Mô tả công việc
** Position Objective:
The position of the Elementary Teacher (KG - Gr5) is to build and maintain a successful Elementary Education program within the school, by providing an educational atmosphere conducive to learning, which supports conceptually framed inquiry, student agency, and strong skills development leading to improved learning outcomes.
** Responsibilities
The job holder's responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person's for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School's Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head of School or indeed to the Regional CEO or Safeguarding Manager - Asia so that a referral can be made accordingly to the statutory services.
* Relationships:
• Developing trusting and effective relationships with all the children in the class and their parents
• Establishing supportive and positive working relationships with all other members of staff
• Becoming a presence across the whole school and a representative of it within its wider community
* Educational role:
• Use an Inquiry model to support the school's Units of Inquiry and Program of Inquiry
• Developing and executing the preparation, planning and delivery of child-focused learning engagements
• Use an interdisciplinary approach to planning, where appropriate
• Collaborative Planning and moderation -within teams, departments, specialist and across the school
• Adhere to school-wide collaboration meeting norms (Garmston and Wellman Norms of Collaboration)
• Effectively use assessment (formative and summative) to support planning and next learning steps
• Analyse class student achievement data, which informs next steps teaching, grouping
• Reporting to parents through bi-weekly newsletters, digital portfolio, Parent-Teacher-Student led Conferences, ISSP Connect
• Use a range and balance of effective teaching strategies to support learning
• Differentiate to meet a variety of learning needs, building on what the students know
• Use the school's Restorative Practices to guide learners social and emotional development
• Ensure the classroom environment is well managed, properly ordered and effectively resourced to support children in meeting their learning needs and accessing the curriculum
• Evaluate the success of the program of learning
• Create a safe, welcoming learning environment, which support children their social and emotional skills
* Extended professional role:
• Contributing towards the whole-school team spirit by taking every opportunity to promote the philosophy and policies of the International School Saigon Pearl
• Taking responsibility for the class during times of emergency
• Actively contributing to our extensive ASAP 'After School Activities Program'
• Undertaking of Duty of Care
• Communicating regularly and positively with parents via timely meetings, class webs, reports and conferences
* Parents:
• Coordinating parent meetings where appropriate to review a students' progress
• Coordinating efforts of parents to assist with classroom volunteering duties or on excursion
* General:
• To provide any other reasonable duties delegated by the School Management
• Be familiar with ISSP Health and Safety Policies and ISSP Safeguarding Policies
• Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required

Yêu cầu
* Skills & Abilities
• At least 3 years of experience in working with children as an elementary teacher with relevant qualifications
• Curriculum development knowledge is required
• Possess highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Good references on request
• Able to effectively integrate technology into teaching and learning
* Qualifications
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Education/Teaching in the area of expertise
• Teaching Certification/ License
• Minimum of three years of full time teaching experience in a related field.
* Working Conditions
• School Environment
• Working hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. In addition, staff meetings, training, parent evenings, parent conferences, all-school activities and open school days are occasionally required outside of the school day.
