Background:
Atera Water is a Singaporean water technology start-up, specialising in providing filtration membrane solutions for drinking water treatment. Founded by leading industry experts, Atera Water's vision is to address the world's pressing water issues in an environmentally and economically sustainable way.
Established in 2021, our company's goal aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 6) on ensuring availability and sustainable management of water for all.
Atera Water's core technology is nanocomposite polyolefin-based membranes and aims to deploy in surface water treatment to produce clean drinking or usable water for communities.
The company is currently collaborating with Can Guoic Water Works Limited (CANWACO) in Vietnam to carry out a pilot project in Phuoc Vinh Tay (PVT), in Long An Province.
The aim of the project is to deploy a membrane treatment system to treat river water into clean water for usage, and to validate the performance of the membranes. The project will entail running the pilot membrane system at various experimental conditions and collect sufficient data for analysis by the Singapore R&D team.
Responsibilities:
1) Monitor Operations at PVT site
a. Oversee operations of pilot membrane system and ensure local team can carry out operational procedure smoothly.
b. Collect experiment information from local team and send to Singapore R&D team.
c. Co-ordinate between Singapore and local team for troubleshooting of pilot system when there are any operational issues or challenges.
d. Facilitate communication and coordinate between Singapore and local team for changes in operation procedure related to the experimental plans
e. Visit PVT at least once a week to check on the condition of the pilot system and ensure project progress, subjected to additional visit when there are engineering modifications made to the pilot system.
2) Purchasing
a. Assist Singapore team for sourcing of various equipment and consumables for installation or modification of the pilot system
b. Arrange delivery for purchased items to PVT project site
c. Ensure proper documentation of receipts and invoices and share with Singapore team for accounting and book-keeping.
3) Administrative tasks
a. Carry out translation of required documents related to the project when necessary
b. Support hiring of local drivers when Singapore team is in Vietnam
c. Other adhoc tasks related to documentation when applicable
