To further strengthen our Timing and RF Team at our Tempe, AZ location, we are looking for a PCB Designer. The PCB Designer will be a part of a PCB Design Team. We support RF and Timing groups that handle high speed / low phase noise devices. The designer will support complex and detailed board designs focusing on the highest quality of signal integrity and performance. These products within Renesas are industry-leading timing devices in terms of phase noise performance and functionality, requiring the highest level of expertise.

The ideal candidate will be pragmatic, yet practical, and can drive deep level analysis and creativity using their superior design and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

· Cadence Allegro and OrCAD 17.4

· Create output files for board fabrication including fab, assembly drawings, and BOM

· Work with remote R&D team (including Design and Product engineers) and participate in engineering design reviews

· Perform all the PCB layout design activities including schematic review, component placement, placement review, trace routing, and Gerber generation

· Responsible for PCB design/layout and working closely with PCB suppliers

· Assist with schematic entry using Cadence

· Work with vendors to get material stack ups, understand vendor capabilities and understand DFM rules

Requirements:

· AAS or BS degree in Engineering, focus on PCB board design a plus, with Allegro PCB design experience

· Technical leadership and organizational skill to manage multiple projects

· Must have a solid working knowledge of Cadence Allegro PCB layout tools

· Must have an experience with High Speed PCB placement and routing, including high speed, high density and 6+ layer count board experience

· Experience with Constraint Manager within Allegro

· Must understand placement techniques for better EMC/EMI, controlled impedance stacks, Signal Integrity, multilayer design, and power plane sizing

· Proficient with OrCAD (CIS)

· Experience with building schematic symbols and footprints a plus

· Designing with controlled impedances

· Navigate computer systems and software necessary to perform job function using programs such as Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point

· Strong verbal and written communications skills

· Must be self-directed, analytical, and work well in a team environment
