Position Overview:
We are now in search of a skilled and detail-focused Lingerie Designer to join our Squad team for the new Lingerie Product Brand.
As a Lingerie Designer, you will play a pivotal role in translating creative lingerie designs, and ideas of improvement into precise technical specifications, ensuring seamless production processes while maintaining the highest quality standards.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Market Mastery
- Deeply understand the bra market, staying abreast of trends and shifts.
- Regularly evaluate and compare our products with competitors to identify gaps and opportunities.
Analytical Assessment
- Conduct a thorough examination of our current product lineup, diving deep into every design and feature.
- Continuously compare our offerings with competitors, identifying where we excel and where there's room for enhancement. This includes evaluating design aesthetics, functional features, fit, and overall customer experience.
- Based on the comprehensive analysis, pinpoint specific areas of design, fit, or functionality that can be refined. Propose actionable improvements that can be taken up by the design and production teams.
Design and Technical
- Develop innovative bra designs that align with identified improvements and the brand's vision.
- Translate design concepts into detailed sketches that capture the essence of our brand and cater to our customers' needs.
- Convert design sketches into comprehensive tech packs, which will include material recommendations, construction details, and fit specifications.
Pattern Grading Expertise (is a plus)
- Apply deep knowledge in grading to ensure designs are replicable across sizes, guaranteeing consistent fit and comfort for our diverse clientele.
Material Knowledge
- Utilize a thorough understanding of fabrics and trims suitable for bra designs, ensuring selections align with both design vision and production feasibility.
Collaboration and Mentorship
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including other Lingerie Designers, Product Owners, Product Manager, and Supply Chain and Product Sourcing Teams.
- Share your expertise through mentorship, guiding junior designers, and contributing to team development.
