PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
A. Maintenance Management & Execution
● Lead and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities for FGD and AHS.
● Coordinate manpower, tools, spare parts and contractors to ensure timely execution of maintenance work.
● Review maintenance work orders, monitor equipment condition, and identify potential failures before they affect plant operation.
● Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company HSE requirements, including PTW, LOTO, and applicable safety procedures.
B. Technical Leadership & Troubleshooting
● Lead troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical equipment failures.
● Identify recurring failure mechanisms and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.
● Review technical solutions proposed by Engineers and contractors, and provide sound engineering recommendations to the Manager.
C. Planning & Outage Execution
● Develop and review short-term and long-term maintenance plans for FGD & AHS.
● Participate in annual overhaul/outage planning and execution, identifying critical activities, spare parts, and resources.
● Monitor outage progress, resolve execution issues, and ensure proper post-outage close-out.
D. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Coordination
● Provide technical direction and daily guidance to Mechanical Engineers and maintenance personnel, ensuring clear ownership and accountability.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
● Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
● Minimum 12 years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in thermal power plants or heavy industry.
● Minimum 3 years in a supervisory, team-lead or senior engineering role with demonstrated responsibility for coordinating people and maintenance activities.
● Experience in planning and executing major maintenance activities and/or plant outages.
Technical & FGD/AHS Experience
● Strong practical knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, agitators, compressors/blowers, piping, and valves.
● Proven hands-on experience in FGD and/or Ash Handling System maintenance in a thermal power plant or equivalent industrial facility is mandatory.
● Candidates without relevant FGD/AHS or equivalent power-plant mechanical maintenance experience should normally not be shortlisted.
● Strong equipment troubleshooting and RCA capability.
Leadership & Language
● Demonstrated ability to lead engineers, prioritize competing requirements, and make sound technical decisions under pressure.
● Strong ownership of problems and ability to ability to drive actions to closure.
● Good working proficiency in English, both written and spoken, including the ability to conduct technical discussions and read OEM manuals/engineering documents.
Preferred Qualifications
● Previous experience as Mechanical Supervisor, Senior Mechanical Engineer or Maintenance Team Leader.
● Experience in coal-fired power plants, major overhauls, and contractor management.
● Experience with maintenance management systems such as CMMS, SAP, or IBM MAXIMO.
● Experience with maintenance budgeting, spare-parts planning, and procurement.
WORKING HOUR & BENEFITS
• Location: NS2PC - Nghi Son Economic Zone, Nghi Son Town, Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam
• Working hours 8:00 am - 17:00 pm
• Working day: Monday - Friday
