Finance and Accounting Manager

As head of department, this Vietnam-based role will oversee the accounting function for both The Parent JSC and Motherswork Vietnam operations; and manage a small team of account executives located in these countries. This role will mainly focus on the management reporting and the development of processes to ensure efficient and effective internal and accounting controls.
The ideal candidate is one who is a confident communicator with strong technical skills in accounting standards and internal controls.
Responsibilities
● Month end, year-end accounts closing & group consolidation
● Manage the accounting team operations, providing supervision and guidance on best practice
● Continuous improvement of accounting and business processes to provide effective and efficient accounting and internal controls. We will be embarking on several improvement projects and you will be able to have a high level sense of achievement and value add.
● Streamline work processes within the Finance Department to improve productivity and effectiveness
● Develop reports and analytics for performance measurement
● Responsible for financial analysis, forecasts and business planning & budgeting to support short and long-term business goal and decision
● Liaison with auditors/tax agent on year-end audit and annual tax filing
● Oversee the Cashier/treasury function for the company and ensure the accuracy of all cash distributions including Expense Reimbursement, Salaries, and Vendor/Client Payments
● Review and track company performance and highlighting potential issues
● Implement internal controls to protect and safeguard company's assets
● Assist to oversee the team, build strong teamwork spirit , ensure and maintain a right working attitude within the organization
● Update regulations on tax, accounting & banks which related to financial & accounting;
● Review & update the financial policies to ensure company follow up current regulations
● Responsible for the report of the State Bank of loan quarterly
● Any other duties assigned
