Unilever is proud of its Tea business, the biggest in the world, with world class purpose driven brands such as Lipton, PG tips and Pukka. Recently, Unilever decided to separate the Tea business to ensure it can best achieve its potential. Unilever is currently reviewing several options for separation, including a demerger, an initial public offering, a disposal or through partnership models. The Tea businesses in India and Indonesia, and the partnership interests in the ready-to-drink Tea joint ventures will be retained.
The balance of the Tea brands and geographies and all Tea estates, with generated revenues of €2 billion in 2019, is growing and profitable with proven potential both pre- and post-COVID-19. As a standalone entity, the Tea company remains number one in the world and is even better positioned to lead the industry and take full advantage of the opportunities in the category, with more focus and entrepreneurship driving greater growth and value.

Tea business had been separated from Oct 1st onwards except for the business in India, Indonesia as well as the partnership interests in the ready-to-drink tea joint ventures (RTD). Following separation, TeaCo (ekaterra) will be in an intercompany service agreement (ISA) with Unilever.
During establishment of ekaterra, you will work together with Puccini separation team and Unilever team to ensure a smooth transition process to maintain business continuity reporting in the Country Finance Manager - SEAA.
As finance controller, you will be responsible for compliance to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), Unilever Global Financial Control Framework (GFCF) and SOX for ekaterra.
Your key tasks
- Support in set-up of ekaterra SCOA and maintenance of mapping between Unilever, ekaterra and local SCOA
- Interface with both ekaterra, GCAD and Puccini separation team to ensure we are compliant with both Unilever and ekaterra control framework.
- E2E responsibility of financial accounting, local statutory reporting and cash management for ekaterra Vietnam. Consolidation and performance management advises on the strategic financial decisions.
- Maintain strong internal controls by having a full understanding of end-to end process of set of local books, and ensure adherence to accounting and financial policies and procedures of ekaterra
- Month-, quarter- and year-end closure activities including but not limited to journal posting, top line performance reporting and on time in full delivery of periodical reports.
- Finance Business Partner to the sales and trade marketing team in Vietnam and Philippines, especially ensuring the successful implementation of end state model.
- Perform customer and channel business cases and trade promotion pre and post ROI
- Sign off local statutory reports and other statistic reports to local authorities
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual related tax reports ie. VAT, PIT, CIT, etc.
